does anyone make a megasquirt setup for the Lude?
I've been saving up parts to boost. And the final thing it comes down to is tuning it. I was just going to run an FMU seeing as how it is affordable and with my setup it should be reliable. I know for the Probe guys there is someone who makes a megasquirt setup. Its pretty much all ready to go and he even will hook it up to your ecu for you if you send it to him. I have been searching and I cant find much about the megasquirts for the 4th gen Ludes. I know everyone is always about going stand alone and crap with getting a good tune and everything but a streetable megasquirt setup would be so tight.
So does anyone know of any such thing?

The big deal with Megasquirt, is really in the fact that you build it yourself, and make it for your setup. So far as I know, noone has gone that route with a prelude, since we have so many other easier options to use.
Hondata or AEM would be my first 2 choices, followed by Neptune if you have a local tuner that can deal with it.

yeah but the thing with those are that they are not all that much easier. You have to go take it to a tuner and spend 3 to 4 hundred bucks to get it tuned. MS can be a plug n play if done right. Like if someone made a kit. I can see it being very profitable for someone to make kits and sell them seeing as how there are so many honda guys wanting to boost.
after having to tune a car with MS and going back to my honda software, the "joy" factor was off the scale.
MS was a terrible experience.

It can be helpful to tune it them later on because they dont come with as much timing but it will give good results right off the bat.
I was jsut curious if someone has doent that for our preludes. It seems like an easier option that having to tow your car to a tuner and spending gobs of money to have it tuned.
So you are not only asking about the MS install, but to have a "base map" set up on the MS as well. Any competent tuner that has worked with H series mtors should be able to give a reliable start up tune, and depending on how modded the engine is, maybe a pretty solid tune at that.
But, if you are building an engine that is really in need of a different ecu of this type, it is going to have some very specific needs for the tune, and will need to be dyno or road tuned to properly set the ecu up and take advantage of how it is built. Without logging the car as it runs, and verifying that it has proper fuelling with a wideband, and the igniton advance is correct by way of knock sensing etc. I would not consider any tune complete.

my main goal is to have something to be able to just put on with my DSM custom turbo kit. I am not going to run High HP. I just want it to be capable of driving and having fun without spending alot of money.
