Still missing the dei 520t back up battery and atleast a dei 513t mini siren for inside the car if your going for security.
what do those intellistarts go for these days. I have 2 of those new in box I have never had the time to install. I should probably start trying to get rid of some of it.
What would be truly innovative is if the alarm manufacturer started making key fobs that had the key built in like the OEM. Every since I got the RR with the built in remote I refuse to cary a set of keys with an alarm remote attached. I would rather go without.

I hear you but I'm a first time installer and don't know much about electric stuff and want to keep this as simple as possible. I live in a safe neighborhood so security isn't a major concern of mine.

On the 2nd to last pic, what are those 2 loops in the plastic bag? I think they are fuses
Got a question before I start the installation in the morning.
In pic # 1, there are 2 wire harnesses for the Clifford Intellistart, a small gauge wire set with 12 pins and a big gauge wire set with 8 pins. The direction doesn't say which wire harness I should use for my 1996 Toyota Camry V6 station wagon. So, which one do I use?
In pic # 3, the intellistart module is to the right and control module is to the left. As you can see the intellistart module has 2 plug openings for a 3 pin plug. Which one do I use? or it does not make a different.
In pic # 4, See pic first (question is related to pic # 3), except the picture I am showing is from the control module.
Is it okay to jointly solder and connect common wire points between the Intellistart harness and control module harness? Like the red power wire, door locks and ignition.
Thanks

I can't seem to find the hood/trunk trigger wire and the wire supplied by the control harness is very short. So I'm assuming the connection has got to be somewhere in the steering column area.
In pic # 1, the direction says to connect the blue wire to the hood or trunk input. I don't think I have a hood trigger since I pull on the mechanical lever to open the hood. Trunk is my only option here.
In pic # 2, the blue wire is very short. How am I suppose to connect this to the trunk trigger which is located in "Light in Trunk"?
In pic # 3, I'm trying to connect the parking light flash input which is the green wire with a + polarity in my Camry but the direction in pic # 4 is confusing me by saying I have to hook this up via a fuse holder along with the white/red wire harness. I don't understand why a 12 volt connection is needed for this.
In pic # 5, I'm having a hard time understanding "white parking light output", is this referring to the low beam headlight? If so, my low beam polarity is - and according to the instruction the polarity should be the same as the parking light, which is a +. Does that mean I need a relay to reverse the polarity or does this section apply to me at all?
In pic # 5, in the bottom section, where can I find the dome light supervision relay? or is this something I have to build on my own?
Thanks

Help! I need help on 2 more issues and I'm done with the alarm installation. I'm having trouble with unlocking the door when I press the remote. The alarm will disarm but all 5 doors remain lock. I've also tried programming the alarm for double pulse unlock and lock pulse duration but nothing has changed. The 2nd pic mention something about a DEI 451M or 2 relays for high current. Does this apply to my car?
Also, I'm having a tough time locating the park light wires in the steering column. It should be a green (-) wire @ the head light switch but when I tried connecting to this wire the horn was honking twice when I armed the alarm.
Any thoughts or suggestion is appreciated.

Do you have a wiring diagram for your car? This would help you out a bunch with your questions. go to the12volt.com and look up your car. There are also sites online to buy from like 12voltresource.com.
Yes, I got this all worked out last week with the help from fellow member fcm. I'll be adding the remote start tomorrow.

dont let "safe" neighborhoods fool you. Its all about who lives with you in that neighborhood. Gated communities and the such are a false sense of security. Protect your car to the fullest. Trust me my S2k got its seats jacked after i left her out 1 time 5 yrs ago, not in the garage...gated "safe" neighborhood.
I can not open the door to press the remote control. The alarm will disarm, but the five-door security. I also tried setting the alarm for double pulse lock and unlock pulse duration, but nothing has changed.
Did you mean that you could lock but can't unlock via the remote? I ran into the same problem. I got through this by routing it to the passenger side kick panel. Try that
