I was wondering if there's a way i can get rid or disconnect the PCV valve system (black box behind the block) without causing any damaged to the motor. Its a boosted GSR so I feel I have no use for it and replace it with a catch can from GReddy. Its makes the motor look alot cleaner and I've seen some done in magazines and I was wondering what they did with it (black box). If there's a way, can someone please guide me to it since my motor is out, it would be much easier to do. Pics would also be nice, thanx in advance.

The Greddy can is an unbaffled bling bling show item. Why would you want to remove the PCV? Without the valve the crankcase would become pressurized causing premature ring failure. Nobody sees the OEM oil catch anyway so why wory about it? The best bet for a street car would be to use the baffled Moroso catch can in conjunction with the OEM oil catch. This subject has been discussed a kazillion times so there should be lots of info in the archives.

 

no shiet, the greddy catch can is basically a soda can, capped on both ends and run 2 lines through it....

if you open the can, it's is completly empty, I like MarkC's idea, use a 99 cents auto zone fuel filter heheheheh

use moroso or any baffled can...
