so the previous owner of my integra rolled paint on the entire front end and felt it after that. how do i go upon stripping the paint? i can't use aircraft stripper on the bumper correct since its not metal? i for the hood and fenders i was just going to use aircraft stripper.. but the front bumper i don't know.

 

You can sand it all off?

Nothing is really going to take dried paint off except stripper. But on plastic you shouldnt use stripper.

Go old fashion and sand it down with 400

 

haha sorry man, thats one of the big problems with the rolled on ****, It ALL has to come off and cant be just sanded a little bit like real auto paint.

i had the exact same problem trying to remove all the paint on the bumper, I researched and didnt find much. I ended up having to man up and spend some quality time with a DA and some 80 grits sandpaper. as for the metal parts your best bet is probaly to use stripper.

 

have you thought of buying a new one they go for like 35$$ certafit autofit etc etc

 

get urself an electric DA at home depot, grab some 220 grit sand paper, and buzz away

 

Nothing fits like OEM.

 

They do make plastic safe paint strippers.

Rolled paint will soften up with prep all (wax and grease remover) Usually rolled paint is latex or oil based and the prep all will soften it to the point where it will come off pretty easy.

Ive helped a few buddies out with rolled on rust-o-leum paint on their cars and this was one of the methods we lived by to strip the car.

 

get aircraft remover for plastic i used it before works great

really, my concern is easiest and fastest way to strip my rear and front bumper. I have a jdm front end. Certafit is a no go for me, i prefer OEM. I used aircraft stripper on my lip but it ended up melting it kind of. I'll look it the stripper for plastic. Thanks!
