Default insanely low dyno numbers h2b please help

dyno'd my h2b h22 ef monday and it made 133whp/127tq tq fell off at 4800 rpms. the bottom end is fully built 89mm at least 12 to 1 comp. stock cams, intake manifold and megan racing header. the afr's are still outta wack (high elevens to mid 12's) brian at forged didn't wanna waste any more of my $ tuning it when something was obviously wrong.

31 degrees timing on s300 through the upper rpms.
pulls 20-21#s of vacuum at idle.

motor doesn't smoke at all, still fresh (under 200 miles)
throttle response is right on and its snappy. I must say it scoots pretty good for such low numbers. but its still missing ALOT of power. Im going to compression test it tomorrow to see if that will show me anything. he thinks that maybe the cam timing is off. crappy thing Is with the h2b I can't run a lower t belt cover.

if any one has any ideas please post them. even if you think they might be dumb, we were both scratching out heads.

YEP, NO VTEC.
Check eveything relating to VTEC, the VTEC Solenoid screen might be dirty. Make sure oil is full.

I would have to agree with this. Sounds like there is a vtec issue.

Stock cams wouldn't effect it like this.

Im pretty sure vtec is engaging. brian said it was. its at 4k and you can just barley hear it. I will try to clean it all out. Im gonna be pist if I just got it tuned on the low cam.

On stock cams can be from 180ish to 210 with the proper bolt ons and tune. U should have asked ur tuner what was the map sensor at at wot what colomns it was in. Sounds like a restriction somewhere or possible a map sensor out of whack.

U can diagnose alot of things using the tuning software datalogging and seeing if one of the sensors is off or not giving the right calibrations.

But also do that compression text and a possible leakdown asap and let us know.

You could just be hearing some resonance in the intake system at 4k. TQ peak @ 4800rpm is a pretty good indication its not engaging VTEC. Remember, VTEC could be electrically engaging, that is, the solenoid receiving a signal and opening, but mechanically there could still be a problem, like an oil orifice left out of the head that regulates oil pressure on the rocker arm shafts for example.

I pulled the vtec solenoid off and it was full of aluminum shavings in the screen. cleaned it out and runs about the same, Im gonna do a valve adjustment and pull the middle cam holder thing to see if that o-ring is there and what not. Im gonna do some logs in a little bit when it cools down a bit too

also looked at the dyno graph and the tq falls off after 5100 not sure if that changes anything.

yea sounds like the vtec isn't working b/c that's were the low cam should fall off and with those stock cams u would most def notice the cross over not really well. But make sure u have all the bolts in the cam holder's make sure that they are not backwards they should be in order 1 2 3 4 5.

Im pretty sure you guys were right. cleaned out the solenoid and did a oil change on it. went out to make sure it engages and it does but only in first and second. Im gonna add a qt to qt and a half to make sure that doesn't happen. I made some afr adjustments and it ripped tires off hard in first and second

Yea i know that he changed his name i'm just wondering y he said that. I know he does say bone head things alot. I only provided a dyno with low cam so maybe he could compare his problem to the dyno.

when you are on the dyno

do a run with vtec activated, do another without the vtec activate

compare both, you're supposed to see it
