Default gutted hondata airbox

im looking and shopping around intakes until i saw the hondata airbox mod,
i was just wondering is it gonna make your engine dirty and also have anyone thought about fabricating their air duct/intake hose?
cause it was hiding behind the radiator and not getting cold air

How would it make your engine dirty? Your modding the inside of the airbox to increase airflow.

All you are doing is reducing the airflow restrictions in the stock airbox. It's not going to affect the cleanliness of your engine bay.

Yeah, you don't have to "cut open" the airbox... it just unscrews apart. THEN you start cutting. Cutting and melting... dremel cutoff discs go through that stuff like butter.

It literally looks like a stock air box in your engine bay. I modded mine awhile ago and I just added a Spoon filter for performance.

ok i modded my airbox yesterday and heres the pics

and im suppose to used the dremel dics cutter but its not working properly and instead i just used a heated knife lolz
i accidentally cut tru the other side but i melted the plastic so it was sealed again or you just used epoxy

and i felt a little throttle response at low rpms
and after that some jackass rear ended me

Yeah, the Spoon filter is like $180 or something new but I actually got mine for super deals. I bought it off a local for $60 with a stock un-modded air box. The reason I actually bought another airbox in the first place was just in case I messed up while modding mine. That way I still had my stock one to go back to.
