ground control probelms~!!!
i recently bought GC coilover and installed on my stock shock with friends last night.. but when i drive it seemed pretty fine.. and all of sudden, i hear this weird noise from the rear side... and when i popped the trunk.. the top rubber thing came off.. why is that happened?.. and i put it back on, but it happened again.. can somone please help me?, i feel like back of my car is gonna fall apart or something.. it sound freaking scary.... please help ASAP~~!!!!! thanks
First you should stop driving the car if you haven't done so already. Next check to make sure that ALL of the bolts that you loosened, to put the coilovers on, are tight.
Did you put that little washer in that keeps the shock shaft from going up past the top mounting bracket? Its a washer with a slanted inner part that slides onto the slanted part of the shock.

The shock goes from the polished part then tapers down to a machined part before it gets to the threaded part at the top.
Well the washer is taperd to fit on the shock where it tapers so it will fit sit snug.

Well, if your shock shaft didnt go through your hood then you probably installed them. They go on right after the bumpstop onto the shock shaft. On top of the washer goes the rubber gromet, mounting bracket, rubber gromet. Take a pic of the aftermath of your problem so we can use better judgement, aim sn = 'thus' if u have aol\aim.
well, it turned out itz not about washer thing.. it was other problems, luckily i got to fix by myself, but i really appreciate your help ~~~!! thanks~....
