What color should I coat my wheels?
Sup guys been awhile since I posted, heres what Im working with...

I picked up a spare set of OEM 7 spoke 16/17 staggered wheels that I just cleaned up ready for coating.
Should I go safe with the JDM gunmetal or go a bit more wild?????

personally I hate when people ask our opinion, your going to get dozens of different answers from people who like different colors on red cars, it's your car, do what you like.
Or atleast narrow down your choices than ask our opinions, but even than, why do what someone else wants? Do what you like

Haha, your talking to a guy that has never followed the trends of the internet. Im just curious what others thought since im in a pickle. I really like the gunmetal idea, but the opportunity to go wild intrigues me thus why I asked...
White was my second option, I like that as well. Trying to pick a color others will like so that they are resellable in the future. These will not be permanent as I have other things in the works including polishing my current iforged

Interesting, now that you mentioned it I think you are right. I dont have tinted windows. Although it currently has a bit of a darker theme I think white may give it some edge.
Going to the coaters within the next few days so hopefully I can go thru a few chips and narrow down a color thats not overly extreme others will like in the future when I sell them.

No I havent? What you workin with?
Reason I say dark theme is because the NSX-R wing is black, current wheels are black, and something small but I smoked the front lenses. The NSX-R spoiler is 95% black on most NSX so that doesnt bother me, but I agree dont want a mix of too much stuff and make it look cluttered.

Some call it rootbeer hahah... youd like have to see the color in person to understand it but i have not talked to anyone who didnt think the color was sick...we made the color up, theres lots of course metalics in there and in the sun **** is blinging..
Are they coated or painted? Because I think I remeber seeing a "rootbeer" colored coating chip. I like bronze'ish colors on red, like I had on my teg. But never been able to find a color chip close to the rota bronze I had before.

Car is almost older than I am lol. Id say I have some growing up to do before the car does haha.
But I agree, I think gunmetal will be the best route for looks and resell value. Im afraid white on these wont have the same affect as the NSX-R wheels do in white.
Going to take them in on monday, should be a couple days out but will post pics when there done

There was some hesitation but they are going in for coating in about a week for gunmetal. My wifes S40 got jacked up a little and needed to go in for body work, decided to do an entire makeover of the car and take advantage of a bad situation. Still under construction so just not high on my priority list at the moment. Need them before a dyno day in seattle coming up on the 12th though.
It never rains it pours. The clutch went out in the nsx today, may put a damper on things. Now I have two jacked up vehicles lol. The clutch for this car will cost me more than the body work on the S40. Wow lol.
