hey i have "done the research" and i cant figure out which k20 is better, the a2 or a3. i know the deals with the higher compretion and the vtc and vtec and all that but i wana do a k20 swap and eventualy boost it but what engine would be better? i love the k either way but i want to get the best for my money. thanx

 

theres no point in doign a k20a3 swap in your ef.....might as well go gsr if ya want an a3 swap..... so you know the answer k20a2.....


now for the boost question k20a3 would be ok for boost BUT k20a2 is still way better even tho its high compression. ive seen a2 push stock sleeves 600 or 700+ i dont remember...check out k20a.org.

Why would 37 views and 1 response make us all poo poo heads? Maybe you asked something that the other 35 people who viewed didn't know how to answer. I even looked at the thread, but I know nothing about K series swaps, so instead of posting saying "good luck, wish I could help" I decided not to. Maybe grow up a bit.

 

has it ever occured to u maybe that all the guru's on here are busy with their own work and other posts, and alot of the noobs on here are reading u Q and MAYBE trying to learn and soak in lots of info as much as they can?

 

your best bet is to read up on k20's the k20a3 does not have the same vtec sytem as found in other k20's like the k20a2.

Honest question or not, if you really did do the research like you said you did, you wouldn't be asking whats the better motor between the A2 and A3.

Why not a z3?

 

Probably price, A2s are cheaper than Z3s and rightfully so.
