Completed 5 speed swap, Now have a bad vibration.
As the title states. I did my swap about a week ago and now i have a bad vibration in the steering wheel. i balanced my wheels and they were still dead on. Not sure what the problem is. Also my tires rub alot more now than b4. Help??
Did you change your springs in the front? What engine did you swap in?
Your tow or camber may be off. Installing the new engine, depending on what you had before, may be heavier and without proper springs to support it, it might have thrown your tires out of whack.

It was an auto y8. Now its a manual y8. Never swapped the springs. Only change was the 5 speed swap. Motor stayed the same.
Doing an auto to manual swap should not have any bearing on your tires.
Make sure that all of your engine mounts are in properly and tightened. Having a bad/loose engine mount can cause serious vibration issues.

The transmission tourque mount was not installed simply cuz i forgot to get one. But i dont think that would cause that kind of vibration.

No offense man, but you should try the easy stuff before posting online and asking for help...
i did a auto to 5spd swap on mines i dont get no vibration and plus i dont even have lower torque mounts maybe your engine mounts are getting worned out
Mount is there for a reason., esp one called "torque" mount. You'd be surprised how much movement can happen with just one bad mount.
also when you did your swap, did you get the right mount for the manual tranny? the mounts are different just for the tranny, the manual mount sits a little lower than an automatic tranny.
yeah. i went to honda and got them.
does the car vibrate when at a stand still, if so its not the axles
i did the 5spd swap on my d16 eg and did not use the front lower torque mount(simply because the nuts inside the frame it bolts to broke off...)
check to make sure your top mount isnt hitting the body
check to make sure your rear torque mount isnt doing anything
did you properly install the clutch and pilot bearing?

both axles are practically new. and the clutch and pilot bearing were installed correctly. it vibrates pretty roughly from like 65-80. after 80. it barely vibrates.
your missing 1 mount.... wow thats pretty bad if your asking us on honda tech whats wrong with the car. maybe you should ask yourself why you didnt put that mount on...its like having a bicycle without a seat. you want to ride on it but you just dont know how to ride it without the seat so you start asking around

did you tighten everything? are you missing any screws? rev up your motor high and check if the engine moves and if it does then change your motor mounts.... that should do the trick if not you need to explain more about the issue
everything is tightened. every mount is new.
