i was driving on the highway when i heard a whistle sound coming from the corner of my ameripol top. after further inspection i notice that the top was ungluing from the metal frame. so i did some research on some kind of glue/epoxy/silicone for acrylic to metal but i couldnt find a solution i even called local glass shops and they told me they will see what can be done. unhappy i did some more investigation and found the official Ameripol Inc website so i gave them a call to ask about the type of glue they use, and the guy told me that they can fix it for free i only have to pay one way shipping and they will send it back when fixed. so my questions are...

have any of you have done anything like this?
how trustworthy are they?
how legit you all think this sounds?


i want to get it fixed professionally and properly
they do have a website/contact # and physical address.

got the website? i'd say go for it, i mean like, if its the company that made the top it sounds legit to me lol

As long as you don't have to drive around "topless" while it's away, I would go for it. They made the top, they're just taking care of their customer, sounds like a good company to me.

 

i have sent the top today...i can only hope that i get it back now!!!!
as far as being topless i'm good. but i wouldn't mind seeing my neighbor topless! lol

6 days? give them time to get in the mail first and repair it

 

i talk to him on monday and he fixed it... but he charged me a small repair fee, hence they worked on it for 2 1/2 hours taking off some glue and they repaired over the weekend letting it set with claps, so he shipped it off to me on monday and it should be here on thursday he even game a tracking number.... the guy i talk to he is pretty cool we talk for like 30min just about del sol and stuff. i was surprise he was the president of Ameripol. he is very reasonable and cool to talk to.
