Default Integra Console in EF hatch

I know there are write ups for the mod. but i'm getting mixed feedback on the ease of installing the thing. Is it just a somewhat perfect line up and just screw the screws in? Or is there some serious modding I have to do in order to install it?

I have a 91 ED7 Hatchie if that helps.

Better not be wanting to buy mine. Its for me biznatch. Ya from what I've read and heard its "plug in play". But from that now that I think of it every damn time someone has ever said something was plug in play. It totally was not anywhere near that.

Thats exactly my thing. I'm expecting a console pretty soon. I just hope it isnt too frustrating to put in.

You're lucky you DONT have the automatic seatbelts...i dont want to confuse you so i'll stop talking about that.

Anyway, just remove the old console, then seperate the ashtray/cig lighter section of the console, as my pictures show.

Then mate up the integra console as much as you can with the double din civic console. You may have to drill a hole or two in your dash support (basically line up the consoles with each other, see where the integra console screw holes are, and drill into the support frame).

Its easy, there isnt a way to secure the armrest down to where the rear of your civic console would be, but its ok it doesnt really move anyway.

Not sure.

The opening where the shifter boot would go, on the integra console is pretty big. Its the same console used from a 5speed or automatic on the integra. But i dont think it is the same for a civic, so you may have a gap where the shifter goes.

Dude follow the simple directions I sent you lol

The right side screw lines right up and the left side you may have to drill your own.

You remove the shifter console and on the audio/climax control console you split it in half and you will not use the bottom section with the cigarete lighter

Would a DC2 shift boot fit in the integra console?

It should right?

the 94-01 integra coupe is referred to as a DC. So as long as that is the type of console then of course it would fit.

haha yea right. On a sedan, we have to remove the auto seatbelt plastic covers, then flip the whole seat belt drum. That is the only way to make the console fit.

Auto seatbelts are dumb...
Every time I read it on here, I always think... Sweet, I don't have to deal with those in Canada.

Stupid question incoming: What gauge cluster is that? Seems to be the same one in my car, the dash componant around the gauge cluster is also that size. I ask because I've gone to the junk yard multiple times and have yet to be able to find a replacement plastic lens that will fit my f*ckin setup. They are always not flared out enough.

90-91 clusters are drastically different from the 88-89. The face and the shape is completely different.

Make sure you take it out of a 90-91 hatch/sedan.

Easy way to tell if 90-91: make sure the bezel looks the same as yours!
