Fuel pump ocasionally does not prime.
All stock z6, my fuel pump doesn't prime, but it does this inconsistently. I can go out and start it right now, but yesterday it wouldnt prime for hours, just wouldnt make the little buzzing then it could turn over but not fire. I dont understand why it does this on and off, would be easier to diagnose if it was a permanent thing..
i found a step process to test the PMG-FI relay using the battery in this chilton, so im gonna do that now and see if its good..
anyone with any ideas as to why it does this sometimes? or steps i should take to figure it out..thanks

Also maybe check the G101 ground. It is located from the transmission to the frame. I had that same problem and was sure it was the main relay, but after doing the troubleshooting flow-chart in the helm, we found we were loosing a ground. Which turned out to be the G101.
These relays go out often and usually during summer. The relays dont like heat, so if you can keep the car in the shade or some form of cool place the realy wont heat up and will work properly.
Ive had the same problem one night before.A friend needed a boost. So i boosted her car and shut mine off to have a chat. Then when i was ready to go.I turned my key ahead and no cel to indicate my fp.I waited like an hour, then turned the key ahead the cel came on along with my f/p.The car gave me more trouble so i swapped out the ecu.It worked fine after. d15b7 auto hatch it was.All leather interior. How i miss those rear seats
.Fronts were tore lol

Anyways just got done resolderin' it. put the main relay back in & it fired up, it got hotter too so im gonna take her for a drive come back and see if she restarts.
Thanks for all the input folks ill let you know how it goes, ill be seein ya.
