Sparco steering wheel --> can i keep Passenger airbag?

I thought i remember seeing a way to do this a while back. Something about tricking the system or something. Has anyone replaced their stock ITR steering wheel and retained the use of the passenger side airbag? I know once you unplug the driver's side the passenger side won't work. I would like to keep the passenger side working if at all possible. If not then i will have to live with it!

Yes it's possible. Measure the resistance across the airbag with an ohmeter and then put a resistor (or series) of a close or identical value in series with the plug in the column.
