A bit of a strange situation but one i must get to the bottom of. Wondering if some experts out there could tell me why my b18b1 98 EX is giving me terrible throttle control. I could be just rolling along slow in any gear push the gas peddle a bit get nothing, push a bit more and the engine immediately wants to take of hard and fast for no apparent reason. Even when my engine is warmed up completely and running for a while. It rarely does this and usually only does when the weather is very wet. This surprises me a lot because my engine is still in great shape and has very low mileage.

Another thing, i was wondering were on these engines can you find the Serial number ?

B18? Sounds like Civic/Integra talk to me. Honda Civic/Del Sol Forum (1992 - 2000) Acura Integra Forum

Check TPS and MAP sensors. Check timing, check for a botched timing belt install.

 

Check engine light on? Always check for codes first.

And like Mike said, you would get better help in the Integra or 92-00 Civic forum.
