Crx battery dies quickly?
Never happen really before until we installed these fog lights, but when driving it for awhile with lights on Rpm gauge all of a sudden does not work, and if listening to music, cd deck shuts off... but when turning lights off, Rpm and Cd deck tend to work again. Once you shut off the car and start it up it has a difficult time to start up, it acts if battery is low... Now i know
the battery was just charged at autozone to 100% again, but why does
this continue to happen? We check the Fusebox under the steering wheel and the fuse for alternator solenoid was removed? we replaced it with a new one, and it still acting up.... If someone can kindly help me out, that would be nice.

When the car is driving it isnt being run off the battery, it is off the alternator. Maybe your alternator is crapping out. When you start the car the battery is used to start everything, and if your alternator isn't charging the battery then it will not start.
Your alternator belt may be screwed up. You can go to an autozone and get the alternator load tested as well.
If your alternator is not working hard enough then the battery will backup the system a little bit but then will eventually die, just like you've said. I can guarantee your alternator is bad.

You also said it didn't happen until you installed the fog lights, did you map this accessory out correctly? Proper gauge wiring, proper fuse protecting the circuit? It's own power and ground or are you tapping into something else? May your wires be crossed with some other circuit? These are all things you should look at it.

Thanks alot for the info guys, Okay here's how i routed the fogs.. the grounds were suppose to be on a screw to the fogs, but then if we did that it wouldnt fit in so we rerouted it to the chasis.. the bolts that hold the fender on..

Try taking off your power wire and turn your car on and see if the problem still exist. If it still doing the same thing maybe your alternator is going out. If not your wiring is the problem.
We hooked the power wire to the fuse box under the steering wheel..
today I am going to try to take out the ground wires, and unplug everything to
see if the problem still occurs if not, It must then be a alternator problem like you guys have said. thanks again. will repost soon

Like I've already said, alternator. Ignoring me huh?
haha.
Unless you have the fog lights permanently on because they are directly attached to the battery it is highly unlikely that it is caused by it I'm almost certain.

Yeah, I am not ignoring you. I just want to see what else can be the problem before i change the alternator. that's all.. That was my first guess that it was alternator problem when it happen also.
You're doing good by diagnosing, it would suck to buy an alternator and find out you don't need one. Either way before you buy it take it to autozone and have them test it.
While the alternator may be the issue, whats the age of the battery? What motor and what battery group size do you have? That could all be an issue. Is the battery light on at all while driving the car? You say you have them wired to the low beam fuse, what kind of fog lights are they?
you have a draw in the your car might be like my crx in which i still cant find only kno its in the horn/ brake light system... take of the negative terminal off battery and hook a test light up to the battery and put point of the tester on the terminal of the wire... if lights up it has a draw.. un hook your fog lights see if the light goes out of test light if so your draw is in the fog lights... if not pull each fuse and put back in untill light does go out and your draw will be in that circuit........
hope that helps

Well I unhooked the Fogs ground and wire to the fuse.. couple days ago
and I believe i dont have the problem anymore.. maybe it was the fogs
but we'll see how long it will last.. if it dies tomorrow then it must be what
you guys have said alternator. but Yeap just seeing what else could be out there
thanks guys

IF IT WAS ALTERNATOR YOU WOULDNT BE ABLE TO START/DRIVE WITHOUT A JUMP BOX HOOKED UP TO IT AT ALL TIMES... if you can unhook a jump box and it still running and dies when you have key off or over night its a draw
well if you think about it... you drive it and everything starting to shut off on you
and when you try starting it again.. it doesn't start... You would think its a alternator...
If you have a problem with the thread... then don't write it in its pretty simple concept..

who said i had a problem with thread?...... if you go buy a alternator good luck returning it after it doesnt fix your problem... no that you said that the vehicle dies while driving yes its alternator u forgot to mention that huh? does the belt squeal when you start/drive it? if so tighten your belt
