Default Charging System HELP!

I have a 93 ej1 with a LS swap. The other day the car would not start or even turn over. So i push started thinking it was a dead bat. Well charged the battery and still after parking it nothing. Changed the battery and still nothing. So i pulled the alternator thinking it might be bad. Well its still charging at 14.8v after taking it to shucks to test. im stumped. Im going to check fuses and relays, but after that im outta ideas. any help would be great
thanks

The starter won't crank, right? But the headlights do work and the dash light illuminate in ON(II), right? If so, check the starter switch at the top of the clutch pedal and the rubber stopper that it presses on.

Clean and tighten the battery ground wire attached to the frame in the engine bay.

Check the resistance of the battery ground with a multimeter.

This is symptoms of a bad ground bro. Same exact thing happened in my old Jeep. I had so few overall Grounds that a small connection behind my dash took all the extra power and started smoking as I drove home. No lights and a toxic smell. Not good.

^. Any main grounds in your engine have an adverse effect to any and all electronics. Like your tranny ground. I'd check it too.

ya the only one that's loose is the tranny to the body, but its still connected the bolt just spins it does not tighten but i dont think that one ground could be the problem being its been like that for a while now.

i need to wait to recharge the battery first correct? im not exactly "Pro" with the use of multimeters, but there would be no resistance if there is no power to the battery if im not mistaken.

^ Not necessarily. My Jeep ran PERFECT for a year and in one fell swoop blew to hell. Those grounds were always missing. Electronics are tricky bro.

ya i hate electronics. unless its a stereo, subs and amps. FML some one else do it! lol well i fixed the ground from the tranny to the chassis. and im charging the battery. refilled the cells with distilled water. Im not sure what else to check i looked at the fuses in the bay and all are good. Im about to check the ones under the dash, but really dont think anything would happen under there. Not sure what to do after that
reinstall the alternator and hope something magically fixed itself?

not specifically but i can always do it but i doubt that it is or has moved. i know that its clean and free of corrosion i already checked all the grounds and everything for corrosion.

If the battery ground wire is bad, you would measure high resistance (Ohms) between the end that attaches to the battery and body ground.

Haha, you want NO resistance for a good ground. It means nothing is holding up the electricity from grounding out. Resistance in electronics is bad

Well it seems good. the wire is not dirty corroded or anything. Im charging the battery like i said and now i play the waiting game lol. after i reinstall the alternator of course. All my grounds are .001. so im going to say that they are fine. none of my honda/car buddys have any idea what else it could be

After you charge the battery, reinstall it and check for a parasitic drain:

The car runs with external power, so I think the battery is dead because it is draining or not charging.

The only recent "Addition" I have made is the fog lights. But i have them wired to the running lights so when they are turned on (running lights) the fogs also come on. but if the switch is off then the lights are off.

Once again, this happened to a Probe I had. Took me weeks to find it but one of my seatbelts never sat back in the starting spot completely and drained the battery.

Update:
After reinstalling the alternator, making sure the belt is tight, the connections are clean and tight, charging the battery. It started right up. While running under load (High beams, fogs, stereo loud) the car was pushing 14.39v. and when i turned it off it was 12.90-12.96. it would jump from 12.90, 12.93, 12.96. and back to 12.90. I'm going to let it sit for a while. Then go drive it around for a while let it sit some more. and see what happens.
