Ok, so my little brother says that hes driving down the highway, and all of a sudden the mphs decrease under the same load, no hill or anything and when he exits off- the sommabitch just starts shaking and turned off..his car runs, barely..you can take the plug out of number 2 and 4 while the cars on and there is no change. There is 0 compression for #s 2 and 4..I know a leakdown would be helpful, but I dont know how..the motor knocks at like 3k, but not all the time..i dunno what it could be, spun rod bearing...

btw this is a totally stock 92 dx 108K

0 compression isn't a good sign. Where is it leaking?

 

good question...i didnt do a leakdown..hoping someone on here could help..

 

humm.. tough call... i say you go ahead and help him get his GSR swap goin and FAST!

 

you need to do a leak down test to be sure...might be a bent valve, timing belt skipped a tooth, blown head gasket, worn rings, etc...could be anything but it seems weird that you get 0 compression on 2 cylinders i would do a leak down test and then try to figure it out....

 

yea, i think that the gsr is gonna take precedence now..but I still wanna fix the motor
