ECU P28 or P72 for B18C R
Hi,
I am seeking some advise of which ECU is best for performance for chipping (P28 or P72) as to replace P73? I have convert my Engine D16 with B18C-R plus whole wiring. I am in tropical climate with fuel RON95 or RON97. Thanks.

Use a chipped obd1 ecu. A stock p28 or p72 wouldn't be ideal.

mtber,
I think with a wire harness of obd2a to obd1 would solve but which ECU would be best or more superior for chipping on B18C R motor?

If you want to keep your IAB's than you want to use the p72. if you dont than use either. once chipped they are basically the same thing. Just get what you can for the best price. either p28 or p72. you can always add the IAB funtion to the p28, it may cost a little more tho. OR you can save lots of money and just get a p06 chipped and converted to run your setup. many people sell them here on HT and on ebay. converted p06 could be as cheap as 120 shipped, i dunno if others sell them as cheap as i do tho.
Well i only like NA motor and no to force induction. At moment I intend to keep the motor as stock and B18CR does not have IAB thus something I have less worry about..
. The ECU will have to be at least to perform optimum on 1800cc and in future I may or may not modify to 2000cc. Comment and feedback would be appreciated.

P28 or P72. After you have the OBD1 ECU in your hot little hands all you have to worry about is the chip and tune. Thats the important part. Find a tuner in your area that you can afford and tune the program you desire and make it happen.
Thanks for the advise again. I doubt I can get a tuner around my corner for now. Very likely I need to have someone done and ship over to me.
