hahaha well, im on a Big Y grocery store salary hahaha i just dropped 3k for the car. my dad works at honda so i got the hookup.
I assume you meant Turbo.
Do what you want with it. After all, it is your car.

Have a look through the Picture Thread or the Build Links for ideas.
Most settle with lowering it, tossing a lip kit and some wheels on it, maybe upgrading the stereo, etc. Turbo and K-swaps get spendy in a hurry.

i feel you im on the grocery store budget too but i just did simple stuff to mine. just like it wasnt me said lip kits and lowering stuff but i highly reccommend ebay stuff for our kind of budget. i say first thing is hid kit, make sure you get a bi xenon kit because that give you hi beams and lows
hows this sound?
slam it!
2010 honda fit wheels (this car has wheel locks on it for some reason so i wouldnt worry about them getting jacked)
black housing headlights
yellow fogs
HIDs
Yakima or Thule bike rack !

(not to big of a fan with turbocharging.)
Huh, interesting to find someone who sticks up the for supercharger. You will find MANY people here are not big fans of supercharging 4 bangers (If you weren't already aware). Using a turbo just offers more power more often at typically a lower cost.
Also, as far as I know, there are still no bolt on supercharger kits for the D17. So that's kind of an issue.
But beyond that, I have to ask out of curiosity why you think supercharging this car would be a good idea? Again, I honestly want to know why you favor it over a turbo. I get the lower power delivery but anything else?

I think I have only seen one civic with a turbo on a D16. Never saw a kit. Only custom jobs. As for supercharger>turbocharger in my opinion, I simply don't like the heat issue. I know there are intercoolers and turbo timers, but still.... I live out in southern cali, and where I am at, it gets HOT. So, for me, it's mostly because of situation awareness. Then again, say I dont have to worry about ambient temps reaching over 100 degrees, and my car has a turbo... If my car is pretty light, then it will be harder to control with all that power hitting the wheels in the very beginning. Especially since it is a front wheel drive car. But with a supercharger, the power builds and hits peak power towards the redline. (if I am using a centrifugal type supercharger.) Therefore I won't have to worry about not being able to control the wheels so much. But my biggest issue, is the heat... that's all.

It's more plausible to have seen a K motor with the supercharger in the bay of an 01-05 civic. So that was probably what I was thinking of. Supercharged Kswap.

My main reason as to why I prefer supercharging over turbo charging was because of heat. You're right, i didn't word my reasoning the way i should have... The power doesnt hit right when you press the gas pedal, but when it does, it is a little too harsh for my liking.. but I suppose you can work around that when tuning. For those, I think supercharge is better than turbo.
I've seen supercharged K's, but never in a 7th gen Civic.
IIRC, someone on here (
) wanted to do it with their K24-swapped EM2. Couldn't pull it off due to clearance issues. He can speak more on that, if he chooses to.
As for what to do to the car. Drive it maybe?
1. wheels (get OEM)
2. grille (i hate that stock OEM grille)
3. get jdm tails
4. tint
5. fogs
6. OEM kit
7. lower it
i have all except the OEM kit and lowered... i'm not familiar on lowering cars. Lulz

That won't be a problem in about a year's time.
