I have a '96 DX that I am repainting and I wanted to perform the '99-'00 front end swap. I have most of the parts needed for the swap other than the fenders and front bumper skin and after searching for over two months I have given up on buying OEM versions of these pieces due to my inability to find them local and the fact that no one wants to ship them because of cost. So even though most people strongly recommend going the OEM route for perfect fitment I have decided to now consider purchasing OE replacement parts because I am tired of my fruitless efforts. Does anyone have a site that they purchased OE replacement parts from that they feel were comparable in fit, finish and quality to Honda that they would recommend? Thanks for any help you guys may be able to provide, I am starting to get desperate!

 

wellllllll Pasword JDM sells brand new Fronts for civics They will be JDM but thats not a big diff besides the Fender turn signals and the lack of an amber reflector in the headlights

You will spend more but they are all OEM honda parts and not aftermarket and they are brand new so it will eliminate the need for sanding

 

Yeah thanks for the input I appreciate it but I already have an Si grill and front lip as well as an OEM hood and headlights. So I am not interested in buying a whole kit from password, especially for a grand. Thanks though. Anyone else?

Dude just get a bumper off ebay. My whole front end is non OEM and it looks 10 times better than half the people with a 99-00 civic.

 

I have to say from esperience, it is better spending the extra money on OEM stuff. I did my whole front end with OE replacement parts and it came out pretty good, but OEM is so much easier and they fit 100 times better.
