I have been working on this issue for weeks! Car started fine, drove to school, car would not start after school. I have been starting it manually in second gear, car works and runs great.

Replaced ignition switch, did not fix issue. Replaced main relay, did not fix issue. Bypass jumped the starter/solenoid and it started fine. All fuses fine.

On the starter there is a small wire (black with white line) that makes its way into the fuse panel, and then to ignition right? I ran volt test on this wire with the ignition on and it was getting no power at all.

Any ideas?

 

Were you cranking the key forward while testing it? or was it just in the on position? And it really sounds like it the stater or the solenoid cuz you bypassed it and it started fine

 

yeah someone was cranking the key to position 3 and no voltage to the wire... when i hook a wire up to the solenoid and touch it to the battery, the starter fires up the engine and it starts. So I assumed this meant the starter solenoid was fine. When i turn key to position 3 to start car I hear a single click and radio kicks off, dash lights stay on, but car doesnt start.
