Default H23AVtec Blue Top 97mm Stroke All Motor Build Questions for H guru's

I am conteplating a build for my daily driver somewhat OEM.

H23A Vtec Blue Top 55mm mains 87mm bore 95mm stroke
97mm F23A Crank and F23A OEM rods and OEM bolts
H22 pistons either OEM combo or Mahle Gold Series STD bore 87mm simply swaping slugs, no bore and hone

Now the concern is the piston an OEM/H22 piston will stick out of the cylinder roughly 40k with the 97mm stroke.

I would try to be using the stock FRM sleeves 87mm bore. Cam choices, Euro R/Type S or Skunk2 stage 2 or pro 1's. Pro 2's think may be a little much for me for a daily especially with stock rods and bolts.

Option 1

- You could either leave the piston alone have it stick out 40k and run a 70k thick cometic head gasket to have decent valve to piston clearance for a decent size cam.
-- I run a 60k thick cometic mls in my Blue Top H23A Vtec Turbo Build, no issues, timing belt is little more of a pain to get on and timming is obvioulsy a little different. Darton Sleeves.
--- 70k thick headgasket does get a little thick for OEM stock sleeves? From what I have read anything more then 70k will start to have issues on some setups.

Option 2

- You can machine the complete piston top OEM Cast or Mahle Forged, but how much would be the max before you really start to weaken the piston and ringlands? 30k, 40k?
-- Ideally 40k would be nice to take off. Then you could scratch the thicker headgasket.

Thoughts? Advice?

Goal: 10.7-11.8-1 compression pump

--- Stock unmodifed JDM H22A piston will yield a 11.1 compression with a 70k thick head gasket.

--- Stock unmodified Type S/Euro R piston will yield 11.6 -1 compresson with a 70k thick head gasket.

--- Stock unmodified Mahle Gold Series 10-1 H22 piston will yield a 10.7-1 compression with a 70k thick headgakset

I am looking for about 230hp + and 185 trq + which should be possible with the exact bolt ons below and stock cams, with the 97mm stroke, but am still up in the air if I want to invest in larger cams for a daily driver.

Below are some staring plots I have done with this engine and stock 95mm stroke

H23A Vtec Blue Top Stock Internals 10.6-1 comp.
Euro R intake manifold
68mm TB
Manual Tensioner Conv.
H22 obd1 injectors
ESP 4-2-1 Header
3" quick dump exhaust with magnaflow
3" short ram air intake stack and K&N
P28 Crome Tuned
M2B4 trans

212 hp 174 trq

For a customer same exact setup minus TB 65mm stock and ebay filter no stack 580cc precision injectors:

218 hp 178 trq
T2T4 trans
