IMO OEM headgaskets are good enought
a guy around here that works for Honda R&D and built his GSR making 433 whp.. says the OEM ones are plenty good

OEM is excellent up to a .020 overbore. Beyond that, go to Cometic, they will custom make any thickness or bore diameter you want.

A headgasket is a fuse. Run only enough HG to hold the pressure you plan to create. When something goes wrong, the HG goes, and hopefully not a piston or sleeve.

I run an OEM gasket, they are fine until you bore it signifigantly, IMO run a stock one until you need o-rings, at which point post pics, i'd love to see (have) an o-ringed D-series.

the 96-00 if ur going oem and a cometic if ur going after market (they seem to be good). also if u have a sleeved motor use the cometic standard NOT the HP one. apparently something about the way most sleeving won't work with the HP one.
