Make sure and get plenty of sleep before driving...56k beware!
Fell asleep coming from work and ***-f****ed a semi. I had the cruise set at 75mph, but i believe i was on the gas going faster. I believe I broke my hand (waiting on xrays) but other than that im super cut up and bruised up. Guys please make sure you get sleep, obviously its worth it to pull over and take a nap then it is to kiss ur 4dr SI byebye..=(

idk, but if i were you, i would just take the check. because when you part out and let the insurance take the rest, they're gonna deduct whatever you take out of the car out of that check you get and when they deduct, they deduct from manufacturer msrp, so its not worth to part out.
wow!!!! insane....i use to drive from PA to CT tired as hell n came close a few times from ending up under a truck like u did or in the woods...its not a joke n its scary...i make sure i rest now! glad your ok! u def had angels looking over u then!
Holy crap dude. Yeah im glad your ok. let me knwo what you can part out if you do. I wrecked a 03 yellow subie. Was drunk and ran into a ditch tho. Its hard to watch a vehicle you love go, but at least your ok. Thats always the most important part!
It's a miracle there wasn't more cabin intrusion. Glad you're okay.
Now you see why Honda and Acura are very big on building ugly ACE-structure cars.

Wow...thats scary.
I would just take the insurance check...no point in trying to rebuild that.

WOW! Glad everyone is ok. My old roommate did the same thing except his BAL was 3 times the limit. I spent 5 yrs driving him to work while he paid for that trailer. Moral of the story: Insurance doesn't pay for DUI.
damnn. ive seen lots of crashes posted but yours is definitely one to the top ones i've seen. glad you are ok!

Look at the bright side...you got time to bond with him. haha
He got screwed then, had a friend who wrecked his Dodge Ram into a tree and he was over the legal BAL. His insurance paid for it but his rates skyrocketed afterwards though.
Glad you're okay man.
I look at that picture and I see two things that saved your life. One....the safety of the car itself, and two.....that low-rise rear bumper frame "thing" on the back of that semi. There are countries that don't have them on their trucks and it results in some pretty gruesome fatalities.
A few years ago I started feeling woozy when I was driving when I had an Eclipse. The car slowly drifted to the side of the road until it caught the divots that some highways put on their shoulders that cause alot of noise when your tires are running over them.
I snapped to and had enough adrenaline to remain awake. It freaked me the hell out. Never again will I question the safety standards that the DOT decides to enact. They do save lives.

op, i'd look into buying the car back if you have the time to deal with parting it out piece by piece and selling the parts online. insurance companies will sometimes sell you the car back for dirt cheap, and you can make a profit on selling parts. sucks about the car. what's next?

I didnt hit anything do. Good luck
