Stalled when i turned air on.
When i stay still and turn the air on idle will drop low. i know it does this because ac will way it down. but it got so low other day it stalled. is this an easy fix? i already turned idle up.
clean or replace your iacv. look up idle issues in the search bar there is a huge thread on this problem. My car is doing the same thing when I turn the a/c it will idle fine, but when I start going and the push in the clutch the rpm will drop to almost zero, its died on me before. I need to replace my iacv.
yah seen this prob before on the civic. Can just clean them though. sometimes there just so old though that they crack and stuff and need new gaskets in them. If thats been other peoples prob though then guess ill have to take that on and see if it helps.
Summary from the Helm's: motor running, unplug the IACV, adjust idle as needed to keep motor running (restart motor as necessary). Turn off motor, plug in IACV, remove 7.5a clock/radio fuse from underhood fuse box for 10 seconds or more and replace. Start engine and let run for 1-2 minutes for ECU to re-learn idle settings.
