Default Need Help Central Florida

If there is anybody in central Fl/Orlando that can read ecu roms that is willing to help me hit me up.

why you ask ?

I ordered a chip from a place and they are saying I was sent a rom with specific specs and I believe I recieved the incorrect rom. I am not pointing blame yet and will not mention the company but would like to get to the bottom of it, as I either have a bad chip or something is wrong with the ecu.

The Problem
Idle is high 1k rpm with said chip and fine with stock P30 750 rpm also vtec was supposed to be set at 5500 rpm but going by the tach which I know in these cars is not super accurate, engages at the same spot on the tach as the stock ecu which 5800 rpm

any help would be greatly appreciated

attached is the rom the seller states I was sent

why not just get it tuned instead of relying on mail order tunes (which are typically off anyways)

1) If there is no solid check engine light then the chip is fine physically.
2) The idle is likely due to it not being tuned for your specific car.
3) Don't trust your factory tach it is likely just off 300 RPM or so.

Also like the above poster says, mail order tunes are lame.

I just basically did not feel like buying a knock sensor otherwise I would just use the the P30,I also had this chip before and it ran great and idled normal the original ecu a P28 was stolen with the car, I have the same exact motor with a differnt ecu and what is supposed to be the same chip. I understand the tach is not accurate on these cars but with that info it should also read high with the stock ecu, but it does not which is why I wanted to verify the map. the motor is stock with a dc header, kn drop in and new OEM exhuast, and a ported cat. I also have a stock LS chip from the same seller, and I installed it and put it in my LS and it idles fine, I have not tried the LS chip in the B16 to see if it idles ok, i didn't know if that would be a good test since it is a 1.8 v 1.6
