Default speed sensors

Well I have 94 civic and I'm trying to replace the speed sensor. The only one I could find that was cheap and available right away was a 96 civic speed sensor. I was wondering if the 96 speed sensor would fit my 94 civic.

OK now I have put in the 96 vss for a couple weeks now....and a new problem has came up....the cluster speedometer sometimes work and sometimes don't....sometimes it goes berserk...like it will go from 0-60.....when I'm only going 30 MPH....also does it matter if the vss is from an auto car.....cuz mine is a manual....I'm not too sure if it was from a manual or auto car....any advice Would b helpful.....or I'm just gonna buy the right year vss for my civic...
