Hey HT, Well I just changed the clutch on my hatch. After i broke it in I took her to the track and well after two passes I felt the motor moving a good bit when I shifted. So I look at all my mounts and turns out where the rear mount hooks up to the tranny snapped off. So the bellhousing is f*cked.

What my question is, I can get an hydro ls tranny for cheap. Can I take the gear set and case from my b16 tranny and add it to the ls bellhousing? I might as well put the ls fifth and new synchros in as well. The problem is I don't know which tranny I have the sticker was taken off when I got it. I know it has an lsd its hydro. and i know its not a type r

You can put all of your B16 internals in a complete LS case...this will not work with ITR/GSR though.

Hydro B16/LS bellhousings are interchangeable.

 

so all hydro b series are interchangeable as long as I don't have a gsr or itr? Ill count the rotations on 3rd gear just to be sure.

So then my main and countershaft should work properly on an ls bellhousing. thanks guys Im gonna go talk with a dude who does honda trannys. he might help me out for free
