Default do i really need new front axles

My 91 dx hatch only makes the popping/cracking sound when i turn my steering wheel to the max on either right/left side. i just bought it, and the cv joints are busted to he!!. but it still drives smooth except when i hit 70mph or more then its shaky hands.
my exhaust pipe has a hole in it, and im still rollin with the factory tape deck that has a shortage which blares the sound of the radio every time i hit a bump.

should u replace my front axles before i get a new exhaust, and stereo system?

yes replace axles asap if theyre popping or clicking. my advice is to fix the axles then disconnect ur tape deck for now since thats free to do. id suggest getting axles from kragen given they are new with a lifetime warranty and the autozone ones are rebuilt with a warranty. only like 20 dollar difference for new ones

Fix that short too. It shouldn't cost you anything. Just find the loose wire and tape it off or cap it

Axles first, that high speed vibe could be coming from those, if that doesnt fix it, do you have aftermarket wheels, if so get hub centric rings to fit hub and inner wheel bore, usually happens at slower speeds. Possibly even a tire balance issue, that usually happens around 50mph and up. I hate electical, good luck.

what are hub centric rings? and how much are they? where can i find them? I am having same issue, need to replace axels but also the wheel gets pretty shaky 60mph and up... I have 16in rims and tires and the car is lowered on full tein suspension. Already had wheels balanced and alignment. Still gets pretty squirrelly around 70ish...

hubcentric rings help to better fit the rim to your car. they take up the gap between the hub of the car and the center bore of the wheel. so since your wheel might fit 10 other cars, there may be a gap there without the hubcentric rings. this gap may cause the wheel to be lugcentric which would cause a vibration. you can usually get them at any big wheel and tire dealer.
