Your thoughts on my build...?
Whats up guys? Im finally about to be done with my motor and I'd like to know what you guys think of it. Also I have a few questions before I drop in the cams and call it done. Heres the setup:
99 GSR block and head
stock rods and crank arp rod bolts acl race bearings
jdm p73 pistons 81mm& new oem rings
buddy club 2 layer hg & arp headstuds
head has new valve guides and a 3 angle valvejob and a minor resurface
supertech flat valves, blox springs, crower steel retainers
Blox tuner stage 2 cams, golden eagle cam gears
skunk 2 intake manifold, 68mm tb, 3" short ram intake with v stack and filter
rmf narrow rep header test pipe and apexi world sport exhaust
injector dynamics 1000cc injectors hondata s300
car will be tuned on e85
Now I'm not exactly sure what to expect power wise from this setup I've seen similar motor builds posted making 200ish with 93 pump gas but as long as its better than my stock motor with oil consumption issues I will be happy.
I have a question about degreeing the cams. Has anyone setup these blox stg 2s before? I want to degree them but it would be good to have an idea of the neighborhood of where the gears will be incase i do it wrong. Also Im almost positive I need to lock in vtec to degree them, but again some reassurance would be nice.
I will be posting up pix and dyno sheets also after its all done but im gonna do it all at once when its complete. I welcome all opinions supporters and critics. Let me know what you think!

no problem with your build but why you have 1000cc injectors are you planning to go turbo in near future. i think that little too much. i would go with buddy club spec 3's cams instead blox

those are drop in cams, you should have checked valve to valve then adjusted the gears on the dyno, degree is not really necessary and may not yield peak power.

I was thinking about running a strait pipe on the dyno to see how much it will change my peak power. Also I think since I have the equiptment to degree my cams I will just throw the wheel on to check the centerlines
Then have them adjusted by my tuner. I est. my compression at about 12:1, my plan is to start the motor up on pump gas with an itr basemap to check for any problems. Then the car is getting towed to xenocron in ny to be tuned on e85.

an itr basemap will in no way run those injectors. i would call chris and get a basemap, lthough its possible he wont be able to scale it back far enough.
your compression is also more like 11-11.5:! not 12:1
the piping on the exhaust is not the issue, the muffler is.
also having been on xenocrons dyno just last week, im pretty sure you wont hit 200, more in the 180 range most likely, max 190.

Ok, I'm running s300 so I'm sure I could figure out a basemap to run the car with chris' help. I used the zealautowerks.com compression calculator and it showed 11.5:1 with just my jdm itr pistons in my gsr, then like 11.7 with 2 layer hg, plus my flat valves. But it may be wrong.
