trying to do a b swap in my ek..can someone make a list of wat all i need or if im going in the right direction? also trying to run ac as well..im getting mounts off a si (rear t bracket n etc) im getting the ac pulley n bracket off a b16..can i use my stock harness from my single cam (y8) or do i need a si harness? for either vtec or non vtec (debating on gsr or ls) thanks for the help!

 

You should be able to find shopping lists via Google or HT Search but off the top of my head:

Engine
Transmission
Axles
Wiring Harness
ECU
Mounts
Shift Linkage

Personally, if your going to go B, I favor the B18C1 but if you can get your hands on a C5 for cheap, it would be worth it. Also keep in mind that you will want to make sure all your fluids are drained and replaced.

I don't think your stock harness will support VTEC but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, I bought mine swapped ha ha. thought it would save me work but boy was I dead wrong.

 

The list has been made 100 times, I know you're new but PLEASE use the FAQ stickied at the top of the forum. also ff-squad .net is an invaluable resource as is the old school honda.hybrids.jp archives. The info is out there just take some time and seek it out. People have been doing this since the mid 90's and it has all been fleshed out, it just requires some effort on you're part and then if you have problems or things you're unsure of just ask.

To expect people to take the time to search all this out for you is just kind of inconsiderate, you arent doing a one off swap, it's been done tens of thousands of times and many people in the community generously took the time to lay it out for you. Put some effort in and seek some info out. Show that you put in a little effort instead of expecting people to just lay it out for you. Good luck on your project.

 

Why wont his stock harness support vtec, its a y8 sohc vtec harness. If you dont know than respectfully shut up.
