I need to take off my front brake rotors to have them turned since they are warped but they are stuck on even after removing all the nuts and bolts...Is there another special way or procedure that I have to follow or any other tools that I need to remove them.

The car is a 1996 Honda Civic EX sedan and I tried following the instructions in the link below but so far im on a one way ticket on the FAIL boat.

If you have the calipers off, and the two rotor screws per rotor removed, it will come right off. Sometimes it need a wack with a rubber hammer, but it WILL come off!

I just did my rsx rotors last week

 

well your on the right path. you take out those two screws that hold it on. thenyou have to use two other long bolts to "push" out the hub, those go into the other holes. try to do it evenly. and use a hammer r a rubber mallet to knock it around. the rotors just sit on there.

so its just rust holding it together.

got them off guys thanks muncho...im use to the ef/ed rotors just falling off after taking out the two screws and thought that i might of needed like a brake rotor puller if thats even in existance...they were just seized a little and the impact wrench and nut popped them off

 

Yeah, a $10 impact driver will generally get those two screws out.

 

Go ahead and sand down the hub in the middle there and clean up some of the corrosion and treat is so next time it wont be so bad, I know you hope there wont be a next time, but there will, lets just hope its not next month.
