cluster?
i'm gonna change my cluster out and replace it with one i found in a junkyard since my speedometer doesnt work, but my question is my engine has 75000 miles on it and the cluster i found only has 35000 miles on it, is that gonna be a problem? do i have to match it with my engine's mileage(i think it's illegal, right?) or do i just leave it like it is...guy in the junkyard told me it doesnt matter and i know how they do business, they'll tell you anything to have you buy their stuff since it's non-refundable..so please help me out here..thanks guys
oh, and i did a search on it and it just link me to all the clusters for sale..

Tampering with a cars mileage is very illegal, so as long as you're not going to sell your car anytime soon, go for it. Just so you know, changing the cluster like that will cause problems with smog and other stuff like that, cause they check the mileage each time.
the honda dealer has stickers that go in the door jam. they state the mileage that the speedo was changed at.
As long as you state that th true mileage is unkown to a buyer your ok. I once sold a car with no odometer there was even a box to check on the pink slip

Read this thread for more info on swapping odometers:
