Largest 3" resonator possible - I've searched!
My EM1 currently has the 18" x 3" pipe stainless Vibrant resonator (don't know the O.D.). Vibrant told me their ultra quiet resonator won't fit. I know some people have used Magnaflow round mufflers as resonators with a 4" diameter. If you scroll down on this page...

...which of these would be the largest that would fit without scraping? There's a flex pipe where my converter used to be, so I can't add a second one there.
If you have pictures, please post them. Or, let me know what you've tried and had success with. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the diameter is 4". It might clear when the car is standing still, but when you're moving it's a different story and kind of hard to judge. I was just hoping to hear some success stories.

Why do you need such a wide resonator for an EM1? Makes no sense!
Why you ask? because it's the length that is more important in function for resonating, not thickness. What engine are you running? If it is a B or even a K, you should need more than a 2 1/2" size. If you are boosted, those setups are so quiet already, you shouldn't even need a resonator
