I'm in the market for a diagnostics software/tool like this (I know this doesn't work for Honda)

i have a honda pgm tester with the oe honda software,but they are pretty hard to come by. Its based on the vetronix mastertech(mts 3100). There are a few of these on ebay and can be had for around 1000, sometimes much more if it comes with alot of diff cards.. Its also has a built in DSO which is very useful. They were the oem tools for honda 94-2004 and for toyota up to 2008. I regret getting the honda pgm version because aside from hondas its locked out from other manufacturer cards which sucks. It still works as a universal obd2 tester though. The good part is it does non powetrain stuff on hondas like srs and abs diagnostics.

 

Thanks for the advice and you gave me something to think about. Mainly to buy a unit that takes multiple cards. But I only want to spend a couple hundred. I will keep researching.

 

Paper clip and volt meter is all you could ever need lol
