I have a 2000 Honda Civic DX 4 Door. The car has about 140k miles on it. When I get into the car after it has been sitting off for a while. I will start driving, the car will accelerate like normal, but with my foot in the same position the acceleration will go to nothing, the engine is still running but not accelerating. If I keep my foot in the same position the car will eventually pick back up and start accelerating again. But then it will stop accelerating again, kinda feels like I am braking but I am not. If I put the engine in neutral and rev the engine to max, it will make a noise like it is being held back if that makes any sense, like someone is revving it really really fast. Anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?

Try dropping exhaust off from header, I no will be noisey but jus drive down road and bak see if it solves problem
