I am trying to install a Sony deck into my 05 rsx base-type without paying an installer for $50. I have a few questions so I dont mess anything up.

1. I bought a connector from Metra for honda/acura, however the colors on it dont match all the colors on the sony harness. The sony harness comes with a black wire with a hook I assume is ground, but the Metra one does not have this hook. What do I do with these 2 black wires?

2. Some colors are solid and some have a black stripe, I assume match solid with solid and stripe to stripe. However, the sony harness has 1 blue soild and 1 blue striped, but the Metra harness only has a solid blue, but then has this orange stripped one. Should I just not connect the orange striped and blue striped one?

You need to find the pinout for the Sony CD Player (Should be in the manual) and find the pinout for the RSX harness. Then it should be as simple as matching the wires up. Be sure to use a fuse, and properly cover any unused wires.
