So my deck got jacked and i picked up the factory rsx 6 disc player/tape deck and want to put it into my dc........i have the head unit but no harness.....can i use a 94 integ wiring harness or do i need an rsx harness or do they make an aftermarket i can pick up at good guys or something like that......pretty much i am asking what do i need to makie it work...any help in the right direction would be cool....

 

I'm kind of in the same situation. My friend gave me his RSX deck (since he got a new one) and I'm trying to install it in my DC (since I only have the stock deck).

I picked up an adapter thing that connects to the stock harness, so I didn't have to cut the stock harness up. I printed out this diagram:

and tried to install it yesterday... no luck. Most of the wire colors don't even match. =/ Also, my clock stopped working (small one near the window), but I'm guessing it's something to do with no deck being installed?

Anyone know a website with the wire diagram for the RSX deck? Thanks.

Edit: I did get the power working... for a little bit and had 2 speakers working... then it just turned off and didn't work. I went back 30 minutes later and did the same thing again but it turned off again. *shrug*

Well... I got it to work today.. with a few problems lol.. but it works.

My friend said they sell reverse harnesses for the RSX deck though... so you can just purchase the stock harness adapter, and the reverse harness for the deck I guess then the wires will all be color coded (just match'em up and tape them.. or use connectors). I'll probably stop by BestBuy tommorow or something.

 

did you use the amp and speakers from the bose system? or just the deck staright out
