anyone else have this problem with there oem hardtop? i had the latches replaces 3 different times by the dealership. the car is an 07 with about 28,000 miles on it. the latches are nice and tight after it replace but after a while they get loose and rattles again.

 

Mine rattles to and it is extremely annoying. I am wondering if there is some adjustments that can be made.

 

My rattles but I used a rubber hose and cut a piece off and put it where the metal nipple is on the front of the latch. It stopped the rattling. I've adjusted my top plenty but I'm still getting wind noise. Any suggestion?

 

yeah me too..cant get rid off the wind noise.....

 

This is what I ended up doing also.

I'm pretty disappointed with my s2000's hardtop after picking up my Miata. The latches on the Miata are much better designed and there is no rattles with the soft or the hardtop. It's too bad Honda couldn't of just copied the Mazda design.

 

use lock tite on the threads of the screws of the latches so they do not come loose which prevents the latch from rattling..might not completely remove the noise but your latches wont wome loose
