Default help help help hard shifting

Alright changed the clutch with a new one, new bearings, slave, plenty of fluid in the master cylinder, I've torqued the flywheel and PP to the proper specs . Already bleed the slave all air pockets out. I can shift with the car completely off, once it is cranked can not shift into any gears. I must turn off the car put into gear then it will go, I can shift while driving but very hard. No grinding or anything what have I missed, whats the problem? How do I adjust the master rod were the clutch pedal is at, links would be helpful. Thank you.

When you cut the car off, put it in gear and drive it away does the car drive and act normal for that gear? Any vibrations/jerking ect.? The clutch release lever is not adjustable at the transmission. You can however adjust the plunger throw on the clutch master cylinder. If the car acts normal once it's in gear, it sounds to me like you need to adjust the plunger rod on the master cylinder as it's probably too short and not fully disengaging the clutch when you press the pedal. Did you put a new clutch master cylinder on?

Sounds like an issue with the pressure plate.

Since it's a new pessure plate, I'm doubting anything is wrong with it. It's pretty straight forward, can't install it wrong. Has anyone ever installed the clutch disc backwards? Wonder if that would be causing this, if it's even possible to bolt the PP down with a backwards disc.

I'm still waiting to hear if he installed a new clutch master cyl. That would be the most logical and easiest thing to check. When you buy them new the plunger is screwed all the way down normally and would be causing the PP to not disengage from the disc.

I had the same issue before, I changed the slave cylinder and it was good to go. My slave cylinder had a small leak and didn't allow the pressure plate to be pressed all the in.

give that a try, not very expensive.

I've got a new slave, bleed it out, and the master is still new 7 months old, no leaks. The PP was torqued to spec, and the clutch disc is on the right way. When I spent all day yesterday I looked at the throw out bearing and is was chewed up. I put in the competition clutch kit throw out bearing back in and I'm still having the same issues.

Lol I didn't want to accept it as a possibility but I had to throw the idea out there. But now you know for future installs.
