mpfi swap,code 19 no start Problem/trouble shooting
Alright, I have a problem that has been bugging the hell out of me!
I recently did an mpfi swap on my 91 lx sedan AUTO – yes auto seeing as that I’m a family man now J .the problem is that its giving me a code 19 ( auto trans lock solenoid ) and I cant find a reason why its giving me this code if I never had a CEL before the swap. If you guys can give me some info on this it would be awesome.
SPECS:
Si dizzy
Ps9 ECU ( auto )
Obd1 intake manifold
All the wiring was done mainly by Clipsed ( thanx again! ) and my self
We de pinned/ re pinned the wires on the DS shock tower, added the new injector clips, added the wires for the distributor, switched the wires on the TPS sensor ( if im not mistaken ) soldered, heat shrink, sleeved and ran the wires into the bay.
I de pinned A3 & A7 ( since I had extra ecu plugs J )
I went ahead and cut/ soldered C1 & C2
I went ahead and tried to start and BAUM! Code 19 and no start! LOL
And when I take the key out I hear a “click” coming from the shifter assembly.
Can anyone tell me what I did wrong or what I missed..
Here are some pics so you guys can get a better understand of my problem.

its koo man dont trip.
Trying to see if i can get this fixed LOL i'm stumped. idk if we're missing a step seeing as its auto and all the write-ups are done to M/T

i tried it but it says to drive it lol. my **** wont start! and i never had a problem with it before the swap which is what is driving me crazy. faulty ECU maybe ?

wiring IS bueno. same process was taken when doing your swap.and i'm sure its right but seeing as this **** is auto i'm sure theres a stupid lil step im missing or something
probably doesn't matter but is there a reason why your running a obd-1 intake manifold and not the zc one i traded you...did you also borrow waynes world ps9 ecu to verify that the one you got isn't caca...!!!
i wanted to make sure this one worked. i'm most likely going to throw the zc one it if it ever starts up
you did a good job cleaning it up

something is wrong with your wiring I'm sure. i take it since you never caleld you aren't coming for the BBQ...
hey, what throttle body are you using? i know on the one that is supposed to go on the EX there is supposed to be an extra, shorter, throttle cable (looks like the one coming off the gas pedal) and going down to the transmission. i remember my buddy getting on for when we were supposed to do the auto mpfi conversion on his dx hb, but we never got around to doing it. not sure if this is relevant to your code 19.
mah bad man. it was at your house??hey, what throttle body are you using? i know on the one that is supposed to go on the EX there is supposed to be an extra, shorter, throttle cable (looks like the one coming off the gas pedal) and going down to the transmission. i remember my buddy getting on for when we were supposed to do the auto mpfi conversion on his dx hb, but we never got around to doing it. not sure if this is relevant to your code 19.
oh damn! lol. if that cable is my problem i'm going to switch manifolds asap!!
my bad, i ended up taking my mom somewhere i forgot to call
mah bad man. it was at your house??
im using the obd1 (Z6? TB) and that cable you're talking about isnt connected since this TB doesnt have that extra "port" isnt that only for the cruise control???

You shouldn't need to swap manifolds just the throttle body or find one with the extra slot and swap out the spring part (idk the technical name)
I have the A6 TB but would it just bolt up even thoe its an obd1 intake mani?
yeah i know what you mean, that cable goes to the tranny. But is that just for the idle ?

this writeup has some auto info.

I pulled a dumb move when I did my mpfi swap and had the wrong plugs plugged into the sensors on the manifold. the green and 2 white plugs are all the same plug really, so you can plug them in wrong. the pictures on fourthgenhatch can help as well as looking where they plugged into your dpfi.
