weird ringing sound..
wats up HT ppl..i have a 94 civic cx hatch with a D16z6 in it and everytime i shift into any gear but 1st and let the clutch out and give it gas i hear a ringin sound..kindof like the sound of keys shaking.. my guess is its my piston rings are getting worn.. but it doesnt smoke or anything. Sometimes i try to get on it and it takes forever to speed up. Vtec engages and everything but it feels like its going no where.. thanks
^^ yeah...and my clutch slipps like crazy cause when i dump the clutch when im on it its at about 6k and it goes all the way down to like 3 and slowly goes up...and everytime im parkin my car i hear that noise when im bearly moving..so i think maybe throwout bearing.. im replacing the clutch with everything new..throwout bearing and pilot bearing..
First gear shouldnt sound since u shouldnt be engaging first while moving. Does it go away when cruising in neutral? Throw out bearing 4 sure. Had this problem many times. I just had a very hard time finding those bearings.
