I drove up from philly with a buddy of mine. It was a great course, very fast, point and shoot style course. And it still managed to be above 50 sec. I wish that philly region was more like this. Ohh did I mention 8 runs, simply unheard of in philly region.

The eg hatches rulled!

i was runnin my red ef civic in HS. car 516. i was also announcing run groups 1&3 over 89.1. the red eg that was in psm is a fellow h-ter. the white eg isn't a h-t person i don't think, but he's been runnin honda's for a long time. i don't know whats with the altezza's, but the rest of the car is set up for csp. the psm me is the same car/driver that finished 3rd @ topika this past week. henry is super fast. he was fast in the afternoon in a street tired boxter as well.

I had so much fun....my first lap I went with an instructor....did 77sec....my last and best lap was 62sec....I had a great time...I'll be there again....I enjoyed seeing my lap times grow shorter....gave me a sense of accomplishment...even though i wasn't as quick as some of you guys.

yeah, definately a good event. i really have to start driving harder on my first lap. the rain really messed with my head. in the morning runs (which only count toward trophies) i only ran a 48.6 to henry's 47.0 run. in the afternoon session, even though it started to rain i clicked off a few 47's, 47.5 being the best. it was scary going into the downhill left hander 3/4 of the way through third gear......
oh, on a good/bad note i was so tired when i came home last night (f'n LIE traffic!) i backed into a low wall by my house and scraped up my bumper. that's it, last straw. i'm putting the car on a wicked diet now... it'll be ugly, but faster see you guys next time.

aawww, that sux about the bumper. yea, u were so far into 3rd gear it was nuts. i was announcing durring ur runs and i was like "here comes chris....shifting into 3rd and listen for the heal-toe back to 2nd. thats how a downshift is supposed to be made folks." do u think u could have ran faster than 47.5 or was that about it?

You guys got in 8 runs? How many cars came?

Whoever anounced the 8/11 Autox did a good job. On my 5th run, he was talking about how my Accord has a 2.2 liter non-VTEC engine etc., which was pretty cool since not that many people know about Accords.

Im selling my car....

wow, wish i could have heard that. talk about head inflating....thanks spence. as far as going faster than 47.5, the run had it's faults. i slowed too much through a few turns, and pushed a bit though another. too bad the rain came down hard on that last run. all well, there is always next time. oh, and henry is ridiculously fast! i told him that he is going to make me and my car both bulemic.....

I have a thing against Civics.

I've had a spell of bad luck now for about 2 weeks due to high expectations and overplanning. So I will not say what I'm getting until I get it. But when I do, I will run it in HS for maybe a year, and then STS. You will be the first to know. I should have it before next season.

You guys managed to get 8 runs? on both days? Dang! We only got 5 in August.
Yeah Henry is really fast in that M3!! That car also litterally turns on a dime..

Glad you guys had fun. I did the M-Club Sat. at Giants Stadium (were done by 2:30-3pm and got 9 runs + fun runs) but Sunday I had to spend some time with the family. I 'll definitely be there in Oct.

sounds like my plan. after this season is done, i'm preping for sts (if my suspension goodies ever come in) stock is so fun because u can't do anything, so its all driver and having the right car for the class. unfortunately, my car isn't the HS car to have. but it will be a good sts car once its finished.

as for our 8 runs, it has been a long time (year(s) since we had 8 out there. i remember way back when i started out we had 8 + fun runs. thats no more, but the 8 runs were a pleasure.

Auto-x has become very popular. In the last 4yrs I 've been involved in the sport, I 've seen the # of drivers grow 10-20% every year in all the clubs.
The worst I 've seen was last year towards the end of the season at WSCC (Palisades Mall) where there were nearly 150 drivers. We only got 3 runs that day!! The event started very late because registration ran late and the amount of time it took to inspect all the cars. Add to that 40+ novices that went off course or got lost, reruns, etc. all contributing to a not so good day.
BTW, WSCC lost the lot this year because 1 jerk resident complained about the noise, so the Mall management says. Noone knows where this guy lives because there are no homes around in that area. Just the Thruway and woods. Anyway they need help finding a new site if anyone knows of one, e-mail them through their web site wscc.org

Hey Dan, my twin for the day, Looks like all the NYR honda guys are on this board huh?? I was there on Sat, Sun running the GS-R in STS. A lot of fun...SOLOef, I think you may have a lot of work to do to make that car competitive against us.
