96 h22a obd2 with 95 obd1 swap
Hey guys im havin some trouble with my new swap. I have a 96 VTEC and bent rod so I bought a 95 h22, I dropped it in and then took it to local honda performance shop to have the wiring completed.
The car runs great, and here comes my issue. Ever since the swap i've been throwing constant cyl 1-4 misfire and random misfire code, my SES light flashes at me (severe misfire-cat damaging) at least once for every hour of driving-BUT the thing is it's not even misfiring!
Im currently going to school to be auto tech so bare with me my knowledge isn't too great but i've 5gassed it and
my HC are decently low 200, and AF ratio is 15:1 at idle
Anybody have any issues near this?
Basically the only differences that I know of (that effect this issue at least) is the oil pump is different between the 2. The oil pump in the 96 has place to mount in ckp sensor right through the block. with the 95 the ckp is part of the distributor.
This is why I wanted to be sure that it was wired correctly as this shop does these all the time. But maybe there could be an error or a step left behind that's causing the communication between the ckp and the pcm?
Thanks all for ur input n experience
