a quick "wire tuck" question..

Default a quick "wire tuck" question..

jw if it would b ok to cut some of my harness wires and extend them with the same gauge 'auto wire' cuz i wanna tuck and relocate some things, if not i don't wanna do it and hurt things

it is a real question, y cant u just answer it with a yes or no? i mean i'm not an idiot i just never looked into tucking wires and what not, and the little searching i did on it didn't explain thoroughly on what i can 'safely' do

my buddy just tucked his bay and said he bought a different harness that's extended or somethin and he didnt hav e to cut any wires, and advised me not to cut anything but said he wasn't sure if it would hurt anything

some wires have to be cut and shorten/extended, and some can just be moved around.
Be carful you dont get wires mixed up, take notes on color or position, or do one wire at a time.

Tucks are easy just very very time consuming

cutting and /or extending wires are fine,
just make sure when you do so, you reconnect them properly and to their rightful place.

no hurting them at all, its perfectly normal when dealing with electrics

solder them and heat shrink, no butt connecters or junk...
