I have a nice civic si and i wanna get a legit security system for it and i was just wondering if anyone new of any from personal experience. If you know anything about security systems please share thanks!

I have a way a person cannot possibly drive off. they'd have to haul it. and they could still take stuff out of it.

 

1. Viper alarm
2. Kill switch
3. GPS system

Yes , #2 the kill switch. Mine Is wired into the ignition sytem so everything turns on, but the motor. since everything (but ignition) works, most wouldn't look for a kill switch.

 

Security should be the first thing you put into a Honda...don't wait till it's done. Trust me on this.

or some rusted body panels, steelies, and mismatched paintjob is almost a garuntee no one will touch it.

all three would pretty much garuntee a return of atleast the shell. (they can strip your whole car in probably a half hour tops.) if not them never taking it in the first place.

Lojack is garbage when installed by them.
My freind had it, all the found was the lojack, car has never been found, stolen 2 years ago.

 

my buddy had a viper in his car and it still go stolen then we wired up a kill switch. the easyest/cheapest way is to go to pepboys buy a toggle switch and splice it into the the lil wire on ur starter next to the power wire. sorry i dont have any digrams or pics but once u pop ur hood and look at the starter u will know exectaly what im talking about. and be creative on where u put that switch because the better u hide it the better off u will be. also hide the wiring to the switch.

 

1. a parking spot 10 feet from your bedroom window
2. a loaded gun on the window sill of your bedroom window
3. a next door neighbor's yard you can throw the gun into when the police show up

Kill Switches are great!!! But It also recomend a clutch lock and a steering wheel lock bar thingy. They can always hual ur car away, and when you do get ur alarm installed invest a couple more bucks into putting another alarm siren in ur car that not under ur hood were theives can just cut the wire. have on in another clever location so even if they cut one, the other still will be going off. It worked for great for me and I still have my car
