Hondata ECU question on P75 ecu
Ok, i decided to ditch the pr4 and use the p75 instead for compatability issues...
Here is the problem, on the manual it says
"Solder a 1.1k resistor into R54 location marked in white lettering (not needed on p72)."
Well the p75 doesnt have a r54 location, instead it has a R52 location, the R49 one already has a resistor soldered in from the factory. Also, like i stated it didnt come with any ceramic disk capacitors so do i need to run them for the C51 and C52 locations?? Help is greatly appreciated, hopefully i can do this tomorrow morning...

i just went through your exact same dilemma. Doug from hondata told me basically to forget about the step that says to solder the resistor into the R54 location because it does not exist. I spent hours looking for this location. Its not there, dont worry about it. And yes you do need to get those capacitors. Just make sure you get the 2 caps soldered in and the jumper wire, that is all besides the 2 chips.

I couldn't get the P75 to work... so I figured it was because the ECU doesn't have the R54 location. I got sick of trying to find out what was wrong so I used a P06 from a 92-95 dx and everything worked fine.
Out of all the Hondata's that I have done I think every ECU from 92-95 works better than all the others. Maybe I am just going crazy from learning the AEM EMS!

the 2 caps that you are talking about are for the c51 and c52 correct? other then that, just the jumper and im done, right? thanks bro!
