put a new timing belt in about 2 weeks ago now the car is blogging very bad in low gears and back fires sometimes.only between 1 to 3000 RPM.its a b16a2 motor the head is fully built though stage 2 cams and skunk2 cam gears i line it up the way it says too.but did i do it wrong since my head it built.or its just the spark plugs i havent change them in about 7 months i think money is very tight so trying to do what i can myself any info would help alot thanks guys i do have a VAFC 2 BUT ITS not tune can i mess with that to help

this happened to me, so i posted and all i got was CHECK YOUR TIMING. I did, again and again and made sure the up marks were straight up and the crank was lined up. I ended up finding a forum that told me to line the cams up by the little notches around the edges of the cam gears ( facing each other ) hard to see but i did that and now she runs like a dream.

 

If you got aftermarket cam gears. putting them on "Up" Dont make a damn. Its got advance and ratard setting you got to know what your doing or just toy with it untill its where u desire it.
