Hey guys I went out this morning to find a small lake in my car. It was dry last night but it rained hard all night. The sunroof is dry but the carpet is soaking wet and there is about an inch of water on both floor boards. Anything on these cars I need to check. Want to stop this since its gotten very close to the ecu and that is the last thing I need to get messes up right now. Any help would be appreciated.

 

try to remove all the interior panels, even the sunroof panels, and have some one spray water while your inside the car. the most common problem i've had with si's are the drain tubes from the sunroof.

 

Check where the outside mirrors mount, to the doors. Check behind where the door speaker brackets are, inside the door panel. Check the drain holes in the bottom of the doors, behind the thick weatherstripping . Check your windshield, it weatherstripping and it's adhesion to metal. Oh and if you have a/c, check to see if the evaporator drain tube is clogged.

 

id check the windshield seal, i had the same problem on my accord

 

Windshield is new along with the stripping. I found the leak is coming from the center of the dash right behind the center console. The car has had the a/c taken out so that is not the problem. More research time.

 

Not necessarily, were the holes where the A/C goes through the firewall plugged, after it was taken out?

 

I dont know if they were or not. Ill have to check. Only saw one hole the two times I have taken the dash out. That one was on the passenger side about 2/3rds the way up. Looks like there was supposed to be a grommet but is not there any more.

 

Windshield and stripping is new you say? Was it installed correctly?

 

Was done by glass masters with a full warranty.

 

i have the same problem maybe i'll try out those areas too.

 

Was it leaking before they installed it?
